The second installment of QFF / DGTC 23 arrives with acclaimed British singer and SoundCloud star Trippie Redd
Following the release of “Rumble” (the first Dance hit of 2023) alongside Fred again… and Flowdan, PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd collaborate on Skrillex’s new single “Way Back” via OWSLA.
This second release of the year from the acclaimed Sonny Moore brings together the renowned American rapper Trippie Redd and one of the biggest revelations in electronic music: PinkPantheress.
The 22-year-old British singer and producer is praised for taking drum and bass and garage trends outside the UK through singles such as ‘Break it off’, ‘Pain’ or ‘I must apologise’ that show her relevance in the evolution that the scene will have during this and the next years.
Skrillex is back with a bang after his last original ‘Kliptown Empyrean’ from 2020. Through the video title QFF / DGTC 23 released on January 01, the artist spread an amalgamation of several new songs of which now, “Way Back” has just been released.

Behind ‘Way Back’
The single bubbles through breaks and drum and bass territories while the lyrics navigate a sweet love that delivers a little bite. While Trippie claims “I need your love, it’s my medicine,” PinkPantheress quenches the thirst of encounter with “We can find our way together, maybe.”
PinkPantheress‘ signature “Hey” is also found in this piece and reinforces her style and warm voice. The Brit closed 2022 with 6 singles and collaborations with KAYTRANADA, Mura Masa, WILLOW and Shygirl.
