Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight’s new release arrives just in time before the 2023 festival season kicks off

Following the release of their critically acclaimed album ‘The Last Goodbye’, ODESZA returns with their atmospheric single ‘To Be Yours’ which features the vocal collaboration of Claud. The track follows ‘Hopeful’, which was released a few weeks ago, both via Ninja Tune.
Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight (aka ODESZA) mentioned that the idea of creating ‘To Be Yours’ began in late 2018; however, they didn’t find the right direction they wanted to give it until the Chicago star, Claud, sent them the vocal line for the single.
“As soon as we heard what Claud put together, we knew we had something special. The vocal melodies and delivery complement the track so perfectly. We couldn’t be happier with how this one came together and are really excited for people to hear it” – they comment.

Behind ‘To Be Yours’
The single is composed of playful bases, indie vibes, and melodies that evoke the notes of early 2000s pop music. It also has a double emotional side, as while the intro and ending is more upbeat, the choruses sail through the nostalgia of deep memory.
Claud’s dreamy voice is no less, in her lies part of the emotions of the single. As you fly through the chords, she whispers in your ear “I’ve known you for so long / I don’t want to be the one to break what you think is love”, “I’m almost at the end of my rope / I can’t give up hope”.
As this release reaches ears around the world, the GRAMMY-nominated duo has announced an extensive tour of the U.S. and Canada in June with stops in cities such as New York, Montreal and San Francisco. Check out the tour dates and locations here.
