British duo returns to Anjunafamily
James and Archie are back to Anjunafamily! British duo My Friend return to Anjunadeep with their three-track EP ‘Came Here For Love’. To celebrate, they had their own Anjunakitchen set where they shared this new compilation with the world.
Following on from a strong first half of 2022, with releases on Toolroom, Armada Electronic Elements, W&O Street Tracks, and Fly Boy Records, the duo have garnered support from Sarah Story, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1, and Ben Malone on Kiss FM.
Behind EP ‘Came Here For Love’
A stand-out track from the Anjunabeats Volume 16 compilation released in July, ‘Came Here For Love’ opens the EP with an echoing vocal sample and a punchy baseline. Collaborating with London-based electronic duo The Pressure, My Friend pairs The Pressure’s warm vocals with a pulsating synth in ‘Future Life’ whilst EP closer ‘Great White Buffalo’ leads with bright chords.
