German producer makes its first release of the year with this fascinating four-part EP

Encapsulating the essence of her deep and groovy soundscapes, Hamburg-based producer Magdalena lands on Warung Records with her four-track EP “Opia” now available on Beatport.

With releases on labels such as Diynamic, Bedrock Records, Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound and Anjunadeep, her coveted sound has led her to tour the world, performing at clubs and festivals such as Pacha, Amnesia, Watergate, Tomorrowland, Sonus and Loveland, to name a few.

Her legacy also includes high-profile remixes for iconic singles such as Moby‘s ‘Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad’, Nicole Moudayer‘s ‘The Sun At Midnight’ and most recently RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s ‘Surrender’. Now, Magdalena plans to make 2023 her year.

Behind “Opia” EP

Building a hazy atmosphere with intricate percussion and guiding synthesizers, “Opia” is expertly crafted to keep the audience captivated throughout its duration. “Alate” meanwhile, projects a driving bass and fleeting wards that are joined by distorted vocals, resulting in another powerful composition.

Delving deeper into its hypnotic realm, the penultimate track, “Recycle”, takes us into a nocturnal dimension with melancholic bass and powerful synth stabs.

Bringing the EP to an emphatic close with “Back To The Beat”, Magdalena experiments with light and dark elements, keeping the listener hooked by intertwining sparse instrumentation with menacing overtones.
