Track is accompanied by a music video reflecting the current situation of the Ukrainian people
Building on one of his most prolific years to date, internationally celebrated DJ, producer and Joy Records label boss HEVI LEVI releases the benefit single “Mad World” now available via Beatport.
A stunning cover of Tears for Fears’ iconic 1983 single of the same name, “Mad World” is another showcase of forward-thinking electronic music from an artist who has built a reputation in recent years as one of the most industrious and exciting talents on the international circuit.
The new single is accompanied by a poignant new music video highlighting the desperate plight of the Ukrainian people, following Putin’s illegal invasion of the country in February 2022. Watch it below.
Behind ‘Mad World’
Opening the cut with an absorbing vocal intro, the single is accompanied by technical synths and exquisitely layered drum samples. A hard-hitting production that takes the iconic original into a completely different realm, that of HEVI.
The launch will be accompanied by the charity sale of a series of newly designed ‘Mad World’ T-shirts, and all proceeds from the campaign will be donated to UNITED24, a global initiative that raises donations in support of Ukraine.
