Alongside the high-profile release, the German trio announces its world tour with more than 10 dates including a stop at Ultra Music Festival

After the worldwide success of the singles ‘Losing Game’ and ‘Only’, GHEIST returns to Embassy One with the EP “Gravity”. Three new cuts brought by the German trio reaffirms their prolific career on the Berlin-based label.
The EP marks another extraordinary showcase in cutting-edge electronic music from GHEIST, whose career has been filled with countless outstanding releases on leading labels such as Diynamic, Last Night On Earth, Stil Vor Talent, his own RADAU label, and of course: Embassy One.
This first release of the year comes in the midst of his first international live tour 2023. After kicking off in Cartagena, Colombia, Gravity Tour will add ten more shows in Europe, North America, and Latin America, ending with a fitting finale at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival on March 25.
Speaking about the EP, GHEIST commented:
“Leaving someone you love behind might bring you a hard time but eventually there will be a way out”.
Behind “Gravity” EP
First cut, ‘Gravity’, is bona fide dancefloor gold. Arguably the most straightforward track in the package. The epic six-minute title track sees GHEIST breathe a vivacious melodic energy into the instrumental opening. They bring together a fascinating blend of analog instrumentation and forward-thinking production techniques to remarkable effect.
An expressive album, focused on deep synth refrains and effervescent four-to-four beats, the sonic brand is placed front and center as they pull out all the stops with another blockbuster.
Next is ‘You Need To Understand’, a more subdued offering, but one that still manages to showcase the German trio’s ability to inject undeniable emotions into their softer compositions.
A powerful vocal single backed by elongated chord progressions, ethereal samples and an infectious top line, it demonstrates their undeniable songwriting credentials throughout the middle order as they provide the perfect bridge between the beginning and the impending end.
GHEIST Gravity Tour 2023
Last but not least, we are graced with the euphoric final number, ‘River’, a heady offering of shuffling, broken beats and shimmering synths, the three-man production team completes the EP with a captivating blend of warped melodies, muted vocal samples and intricate, syncopated rhythms.
The perfect end to their first multi-track release in over two years, the Berlin-based team’s impressive diversity shines through as they release one of their most immersive offerings to date.
