The stunning futuristic track will be part of mau5trap’s “We Are Friends Vol. 11” compilation

Without leaving aside the arrival of his long-awaited eponymous album Kx5 alongside Kaskade, deadmau5 welcomes the new year in style with his cyber-hop cut “Antisec” alongside acclaimed American rapper YTCracker.
While the famous mouse takes care of the addictive modulators, YTCracker does his thing with his powerful voice. The popular nerdcore rapper was part of the hacktivist community with ties to the mysterious hacker group Anonymous.
The track also opens the doors to mau5trap’s “We Are Friends Vol. 11” compilation that will be released this Friday, January 6th, and will feature creations from producers such as Morgin Madison, Kasablanca, or Astrobear, to name just a few, and will include the previous cut “XYZ” by Zimmerman.
Behind ‘Antisec’
The piece dives through an exciting series of drums and synthesized notes that simulate a journey into the uncertain future with projections that delve into the AntiSec movement, which opposes the computer security industry.
This idea is reinforced by what YTCracker says during the cut, “I’m the de facto leader of a movement / Screaming ‘hack the planet’ in ’99 / hacktivism at its best,” all accompanied by the sci-fi arpeggios that never fail to resonate in our heads.
Whether it was during his set at Deadmau5 Day at Red Rocks or his recent residency in Cancun with soaked & friend5, the single has become one of Joel’s most anticipated ID’s. It’s finally here. Get your copy on Beatport.
