14 unreleased tracks will be part of the new edition of the acclaimed British compilation

In the midst of a successful first EXHALE residency at Ibiza’s DC-10 club, the renowned Belgian producer had a beam up her sleeve that she finally decided to showcase. Making history by being the first woman to accomplish such a feat, Amelie Lens to curate ‘GU44’ edition of the Global Underground series. One of the most important and renowned compilations within electronic music.
Without neglecting her worldwide tours, leading new projects and releases on her labels Lenske and EXHALE and broadcasting her weekly radio show ‘Amelie Lens presents EXHALE’, the Belgian producer will compile 28 singles of which 14 will be unreleased tracks on the British label.

Amelie joins exclusive list
The name Global Underground is synonymous with respect and praise within the electronic music scene. Founded in 1996 by Andy Horsfield and James Todd, the label has been an important part of the musical culture of this genre through its annual compilations since its first release in 1996 by the legendary Tony De Vit for the GU01 Tel Aviv series.
Among the different compilations that include such as Prototype, 24:7, Nubreed, Electric Calm or Afterhours, the most acclaimed is undoubtedly Global Underground City. Top exponents such as Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox or Solomun have led various editions of this series. And now, it is the turn of Amelie Lens.
All the influence of Lens, in one series
The full name of the compilation is ‘GU44: Amelie Lens – Antwerp’, in honor of her hometown. While GU has accustomed us to progressive house, house or trance, Amelie will take the reins this time under melodic and techno singles that capture the essence of the producer’s sets throughout all these years of career.
The official release will be on November 25th and will feature 2 CDs, each with 14 tracks. The first one is a melodic journey with unreleased tracks by AIROD, Ahl Iver, Boston 168, Blicz, Lens herself, among others. The second is an exploration into Amelie’s techno with singles from Farrago, SWART, Alt8, Elise Massoni, Raven, herself, and more.

The formats of the series will be the following: Double CD Deluxe, Triple 12″ Vinyl Edition, MP3 or WAV Format, and the most striking: the Collector’s Edition Box that all of the above plus a 110-page photo book, a set of 4 A6 postcards and 4 12″ square art prints.
