Ameli Paul release debut album “Echoes of Memoria”

Through 12 thrilling tracks via MEIOSIS, the German duo closes a chapter in their history

Cultivating a theme of self-expression, angst and deep introspection through his inaugural compilation, Ameli Paul finally releases their debut album “Echoes of Memoria” via MEIOSIS where he explores his most poignant sonic narrative to date as he combines cutting-edge electronic production techniques with neo-classical instrumentation to deliver an innovative journey through sound.

Spanning 12 productions including the previously released, ‘Encore’ and ‘Musca’, the album is a thought-provoking work created over the past two years. Each track represents fragments of Ameli Paul‘s relationship dating back to 2016. An artistically striking project that moves between the sonic boundaries of electronica, alternative synthpop, breakbeat and operatic sensibilities that together create a personal and contemporary work of art.

‘Ardor’ opens the backdrop and shows itself as a dramatic beginning to then ‘Encore’, plunging the album into operatic grounds under Ameli’s imposing voice. ‘Humbuk’ explores the bases and bass while ‘Fever Dreams’, adds a beautiful lyric to its journey. ‘Voice Memo’ proposes calmness along the way along with ‘Melancholia’, which diverts the track in the direction of the breaks of ‘Musca’.

‘Again’ recrudesces the compilation with its experimental approach, but pauses to gaze at the horizon from the beautiful, stormy view of ‘For It Could Be Our Last Day‘. ‘LXXX’ submerges the vocals and the thumping beats unfold across the skin. ‘Over’ arrives with its own synth touch from where it runs one last time and hands the baton to ‘Voice Message’ and its heartbreaking finale.

The melting pot of a trained singer and an award-winning jazz musician, the common experiences, impressions, emotions, and encounters processed by both, over the past seven years, Ameli and Paul have shaped their unique musical signature. “Echoes of Memoria” is a musical diary about inner turmoil, transition, and rupture, reverberating together to build this monument, honoring and appreciating the countless precious moments they have shared.

“With Echoes of Memoria we conclude a chapter”

Speaking about the album, Ameli Paul commented:

“This album has been on our minds for two years. Now, at long last, our protégé is finally taking its first breath. Our idiosyncratically grown plant that’s battled through all these shared moments of struggle, doubts and frustration is now standing up again through key moments of inspiration; regaining confidence and acceptance of who we are. With Echoes of Memoria we conclude a chapter, as it’s the roots of our identity that we carry in our hearts…forever.”

Alongside the album release, Ameli Paul is supporting legendary German producer and internationally celebrated live artist Monolink on his biggest European tour to date. With more than a dozen performances in Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic in just five weeks, the tour – which kicked off at Progresja in Warsaw on November 9 – concludes at X-Tra in Zurich on December 15.
